That's more like it. ######################################################################## 1. New! Root on DreamHost PS! If I ever want to get back to my hey day of having newsletters come out in the month they're referring to, I better not get all crazy and wheel- re-inventing-y. No way. New! Search the panel! I don't even know what this means. I wish I'd explained it to myself already, in some sort of public post. I also wish I'd already put the URL for that post in a previous section of this newsletter, saving us all some invaluable bandwidth. ######################################################################## 3. New! Rearrange the panel! This too. I swear I recently remembered what this feature meant, but now I just can't recall. If only I'd logged it on the web or something. ######################################################################## 4. New! Google AdWords credit! All I know for this is that you don't get one! Charity! Oh yeah, the charities! THIS I remember! Forget some stupid public post with no interesting customization, this is prime NEWSLETTER material. For example, did you know that when you go to our "Give to Charity" section at: https://panel.dreamhost.com/?tree=home.charity You can donate to our special hand-picked charity right there? We'll just add it to your hosting bill... AND we'll match it! Last quarter we raised $458.05 from 13 contributors for "Operation USA" and then matched it.. as well as $560.65 from 21 contributors for the "Save the Tasmanian Devil" fund and then matched IT. PLUS we did a crazy promotion where we donated to the Tasmanian Devils for some number of new customers which resulted in a grand total of $20,121.30 being donated to the fund! AMAZING! This is a perfect example of DreamHost's wonderful generosity and sense of priorities! The current charity is "Teach for America", which I'm sure will end up receiving about the usual $1,000. Clearly, 5% as worthy a cause as face cancer on island rodents... so it all works out perfectly! ######################################################################## 8.
