Regarding your edit to the DNS_-_Accessing_your_Database_before_DNS_change page concerning the "phpMyAdmin hack", that method actually *has* worked (and still does work) for me (and others!). I want you to know I would never have put it in the wiki if I had not tested it, and had others duplicate my success with it! There is no doubt you know more about this stuff than I do, so I will not revert your edit, but I have sent you an email with more comments, and some screenshots showing the URL used, and the results. Maybe after reviewing that, and a little more research, we can discuss whether or not there should be any reference to this in the wiki. If it really needs to be deleted, then please let me know, as it is linked/mentioned in a few other pages, and I would really like to get all of that removed if we remove this.
