Cleanup

If you think that a cleanup tag should be removed, leave a request on my talk page. I'll review the article and remove the tag if I agree, or give reasons why I don't agree. -- Scjessey 08:20, 15 Feb 2007 (PST)

Security

Agreed on that link. Deleted. -- Scjessey 06:57, 24 January 2008 (PST)

Suggestions

Please see DreamHost:List of policies#Behavior where it refers to "campaigning". The wiki should not be used for encouraging (or discouraging) users to vote for or against suggestions. Allowing this sort of thing would quickly turn the wiki into a campaign battleground. -- Scjessey 19:02, 18 May 2008 (PDT)

"Policy"

Jdaskew: Thank you for directing me to the above policy. I see the point and agree completely. I've read through the policies so that I can be a better contributor. I would like to suggest, in the spirit of "Assuming Good Faith" (DreamHost:List of policies#Behavior), that editors provide a quick note when reverting other's edits (except in cases of blatant vandalism). Even a simple citation of policy would suffice. I was initially quite put off by the reversion, although I completely understand now.

Did you notice the "campaigning policy" was added after you made your changes?!

In my opinion, you should remain "put off". In this case, your changes and links were perfectly appropriate and helpful. -- ;-) 11:21, 25 May 2008 (PDT)
Actually, that "policy" has been around a bit, though it had not been added to the page until when you mentioned. A regular review of "Recent Changes" instead of the a "quick sniping" would have revealed that others have received similar remarks about revisions removing "campaigning". I think Jdaskey makes a good point about noticing revisions, and the formal addition of the policy to the policy section is good ... Hopefully, Jdaskey is, as he indicates, more interested in productive contributions and good communications on the wiki than he is about taking umbrage or being "put off". You of course, are welcome to prefer contention over communication; it seems Jdaskew is more interested in cooperation, and that is most appreciated!  ;-) - Rlparker 16:44, 25 May 2008 (PDT)

Ignore the trolls

Please ignore the troll above. I have read what you said on my talk page and I agree with you completely. I'll put my head together with the other sysops and develop a standard notification system for situations like these. -- Scjessey 14:14, 25 May 2008 (PDT)
