I noticed that you made changes to the Misc page earlier. It has just been spammed, and I was in the process of doing a reversion when you edited it. I've restored your edits, so everything is cool. Please check that the page you are going to edit has not been spammed (look for hidden DIVs) before making changes. Thank you. -- Scjessey 14:36, 17 Jan 2006 (PST)
Scjessey : Sorry, I didn't see any hidden divs in the subsection I was editing. I suppose I should just open the whole page instead of just a subsection? I don't have a lot of experience with mediawiki, so I'm being very cautious about making any changes... taking my time about learning how this is done. I've worked on other wikis, but nothing like wikipedia/mediawiki, so I'm trying not to do things that can't be easily undone. I haven't, for example, attempted to create new pages (although I see several places that could use some expansion). --The Evil Queen 14:45, 17 Jan 2006 (PST)
There are certain pages (Misc being an obvious candidate) that seem to attract the attention of spammers. It is always worth checking those before doing an edit. Another thing you can do is check out the recent changes (see link in the left navigation) to see if anyone has been a bad boy recently. If you see a need for a new page, by all means create it! Most of the pages have been created by customers. Use the search facility to check that it doesn't already exist, or if the content could go on an existing page. If you want to get used to using MediaWiki, go and play in the kitty litter for a bit, or experiment on your user page. If you are worried about something, by all means ask me by leaving a message on my talk page. Have fun! -- Scjessey 15:18, 17 Jan 2006 (PST)
