Chris 'Vanish' Van Cleve Chris is an avid gamer, web developer, and designer. His home network, setup for family use, web & mail services, and LAN gaming, consists of several Mac OS X machines, some Windows XP boxes, and a Linux server for hosting dedicated games.

Communities

Chris has been a part of many game server communities, most notably he was the Director of Public Relations for United Admins and also served as Director of Support for the Des Moines Gaming Group. He is currently the Director of Development, Founder and Chairman of the Board for G2 - Gaming Genesis.

The Dreaded Day Job

Chris is the Database Administrator and Webmaster for the world's first Racino. (Casino/Racetrack) His duties include management, optimization, architecture, and disaster recovery for all RDBMS on property including MS SQL Server 7-2003, Oracle 9i, MySQL 4 and FileMaker Pro 5-7; Planning, Design, and Development of all web services, including corporate web presence, intranet and software system portals; Project Manager for the Casino Management System and the Cognos ReportNet Enterprise Reporting System; Several other minor duties as assigned.

Chris is also the CEO and Founder of DreamScape Visionery, his consulting company which is known for quality Mac OS products, dynamic web design and the RPGS Mystic Adventures.

Personal

Chris is married with two step children, a boy and a girl, and lives proudly in the city of his birth: Altoona, Iowa, USA. He is fond of bike riding, reading fantasy novels, and of course anything and everything to do with technology. He maintains a blog called Vanish's Vault, though he doesn't update it nearly as often as he should.
