Rich has been participating in the Washington Men's Council of Greater Washington Men's Gathering at Buffalo Gap Camp since October 1992. He missed only one Gathering, in 2001.
Rich is proud to be a Brother contributing to the Leadership Council from afar. Rich maintains the Council's Web site that focuses on the fall Men's Gathering at Buffalo Gap Camp in Capon Bridge, WV. The Leadership Council plans and conducts the Annual Men's Gathering. He advises the Council on Web use.
Rich currently lives in Battle Ground, WA, just north of Portland, Oregon. He married his second wife, Carol, in May 1998 and his life is full of joy now. He is the proud grandfather of Alexander, born April 8, 2003 and Asher, born March 13, 2005 to Carol's daughter Mary and her husband Jonathan. Rich's first wife, Maureen, sadly passed away in 1997 after succumbing to the ravages of cholangiocarcinoma (liver cancer0. His one daughter of his first marriage, Jennifer Marie, lives in Northern Virginia and is married to a Fairfax County policeman.
Rich is on the faculty (since 1999) of Heald College, Portland, Oregon campus where he teaches community college level students a variety of subjects including Web page development, MS Office software, public speaking, math, and business courses. He maintains MrWteaches.net for his students. He is really proud of his Consider This part of his Web site.
Rich recently joined (April 2005) the faculty of Concordia University in Portland, Oregon and can't wait to teach there.
Rich has been hosting sites at Dreamhost since February 2004. I am really into Web Standards and make extensive use of CSS in all my current Web designs. I do use Dreamweaver MX 2004 quite a bit, and am learning more and more every day about PHP and MySQL. I blog on Consider This. I am an avid fan of MovableType. In March 2005 I almost landed a job as a Web Developer for a community credit union in the Portland Oregon area. I might still have a bit of a chance! Keep praying.
