Template talk:Supported

Obviously there must be a problem with people asking for Support of non-supported technologies. Seems as useful to label Supported items as to label non-Supported items. -- 0-0 17:12, 20 Nov 2006 (PST)

I don't see how: If something is marked advanced, then you won't get DH support for it. If it isn't, then you can at least ask. I mean, if we used this template, what would we do with those articles that aren't marked with either? --Emufarmers 17:16, 20 Nov 2006 (PST)
I'd prefer to see DreamHost seals of approval on things that are supported - positive feedback rather than negative. You'd do the same as you do now, or make a decision and mark them, or delete them. Is this a good time to mention there are two, somewhat redundant templates (aside from the UNIX shell detail)? Is this all part of the plan?
Well, yeah, there are two redundant templates on the other side, but that's because somebody just made one of them four hours ago. Since most of the tasks described in this wiki should be supported by DH support, it makes much more sense to me to only indicate when support can't be provided. Customers should already assume they can seek support for most things not marked otherwise. (A warning template is only effective in the negative form.) --Emufarmers 17:34, 20 Nov 2006 (PST)
I am in agreement with Emu's line of reasoning. I am deleting both the support and not_supported templates (sorry, no offense to its creators intended!) --Sabrejack 20:26, 20 Nov 2006 (PST)
