I've rewritten the article as best as I could. Please note that a good read of the install instructions as well as a decent comprehension of what they're doing will solve most folks issues with the software

I'm trying to figure out if I can have, with one software install, one domain per site. The closest I came to is:
Unfortunately DreamHost doesn’t support WordPress MU’s subdomains by default yet (you can always send them an email), but we can still get away with subfolders, which is more than good enough for a test.

It might also be good to specify at what scale (how many Wordpress non-MU installs) does the MU edition becomes a time-saver. 5? 10? 100?

Someone just posted a tech support ticket on this one - I can't see anyway that the subdomains will work without a private IP address, I'll figure it out tonight and modify the wiki accordingly if needed.
domain registration
would dreamhost be the one handeling the domain registration, or can it be handled by someone else (godaddy.com, gandi.net, ect?
