It is good news to have a backup option with Dreamhost, but I cannot see how to run rsync. Only sftp is allowed. Rsync can be used with ssh on normal accounts, but it is not there on the backup server, unfortuntely. Is there any other way to keep the remote directories in sync automatically? --Ax5 08:03, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

This is an article on SFTP and therefore your question has no relevance to the article in question. If you are talking about the capabilities of the backup server, you might try posting in the Forums (http://discussion.dreamhost.com) rather that commenting on the talk page of a wiki article that is, at best, only peripherally related to your question. Thanks! ;-) -- Rlparker 23:04, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

SFTP Clients Incompatibility

I've add this subsection after confirming with Support that OpenSSH v5.1 was deployed recently due to security reasons. My copy of GlobalSCAPE CuteFTP Pro v7 from 2005 stopped connecting as a result. --Atropos 19:52, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
