Is this feature no longer offered? I haven't seen the button on my control panel in a while; just the link on the dreamhost front page, which implies that it's geared more toward sales than support. It's a shame if it's gone; it was really the feature that made me decide to go with dreamhost when I was shopping around. - V

Live Chat is alive and well, but at present it is only offered 24/7/365 for those with the premium "call-back" support option or with VPS accounts. It *may* be turned on at times for all users, if the support load is sufficiently low to allow that, but it will not always be available for all users. If you want it to be available all the time, you can either upgrade to a VPS account, or add the "call-back" support option to your shared hosting plan. Not sure that's correct, we have two VPS accounts and the "Chat Live" icon is visible but clicking just produces a pop-up box that says "Chat is currently offline". I think the service is no longer offered. Steevithak 12:22, 16 March 2012 (PDT)
