• A consistent visual style across all pages of a website is desirable, but in a wiki it is very important. It makes it easy for users to quickly scan a page and seek the information they need. The current page uses HTML tags instead of wiki markup.
• I don't know what to name it. It seems to me that Webmail probably needs to be expanded into a category that includes several pages, with this one among them. It may be better to have a "junkmail" page, with novice user and advanced user sections.

I've created a Webmail category, added a Junk_Mail page, and then moved this material to a section "Novice Users". I've started applying wiki markup to the new version. I move that this article is deleted. -- Scjessey 05:44, 29 Apr 2005 (PDT)

I think the page is just fine. It supplies good information for non-tech users delivered in a clear, distinct, organized method. Just because it isn't set up according to one person's idea of aesthetically pleasing doesn't mean it isn't okay.

Wiki was SUPPOSED TO BE easy for lay persons to use. It is HARDLY that. It took my librarian several months to get a solid handle on inputing an article using "wiki" code specs...which are a pain, really. And she's been coding .html for years. I can't imagine what it is like for a low-end surfer to use. Probably nearly impossible. As it is, I'm just happy the person who built the page and spent all that time typing that information in was kind enough to do so.

My 2 cents.

Why delete?

Who would flag this page for deletion? It's a great page that I just sent to my computer-challenged friends/family. It contains an easy walkthrough they can follow.

Great page = keep it.

Redirected it

The content is fine. Since Scjessey was kind enough to improve it AND wikify it, I redirected this page to Junk_mail so that people can still get the benefit of it. Isn't that better than deleting it? Prevents links from breaking and bookmarks from breaking? Peter.shank@cingular.com 14:08, 7 Nov 2006 (PST)
