Talk:Domain with .Mac
From DreamHost
Hey, Apple users! Should this article be renamed to "Domain with .Mac/iWeb" in the interests of not dating it? I looked at the Apple website and it seems that the "08" suffix only refers to a particular version. Also, can anyone think of an alternative to the use of the forward slash in the name of the article? It can cause some problems with links and subpages, so they are best avoided. -- Scjessey 07:17, 10 January 2008 (PST)
I agree! Rename! Mikes 10:09, 10 January 2008 (PST)
I think this answer is tricky. Dot Mac supports the domain. iWeb 06 does not support it, but you can still create a web site and promote it to .Mac, and the domain will still work. Some of the features in iWeb 06 may not work correctly though. iWeb 08, however, fully supports the domain.
If you drop the 08 from the title, then you may get people will don't understand why iWeb 06 isn't working as expected.
As far as the forward slash, what about "&" ? ".Mac & iWeb" --Saulnewman 13:09, 12 May 2008 (PDT)
- We could simply rename it to "Domain with .Mac" and then have "Domain with iWeb 08" redirect to that. -- Scjessey 07:09, 13 May 2008 (PDT)
