About the Dynamic DNS script. While it does its thing when it does work, often wget stalls after "Connecting to ... connected.", instead of continuing doing the actual request. This results in the script having to be aborted (sending in -T 30 -t 1 to wget doesn't help!) using ^C. Anyone else experiencing this? [[[User:Tic|Tic]] 00:13, 2 Apr 2006 (PST)]

Non-editable DNS records

I want to add a custom A record to point my domain to an IP address. However, an A record from Dreamhost already exists under "Non-editable DNS records" and won't go away. Therefore my domain only goes to the new IP half the time. How do I change/remove Dreamhost's A record? Thanks! -Notbot 01:52, 31 Jan 2007 (PST)

Removing A records

A support ticket should really be submitted for questions about removing DNS records and making other modifications to your account. Basically, though, you need to remove hosting for your domain to modify the A record. This can be done by clicking the [ x ] next to it in the 'Manage Domains' page in the control panel. -Mikes

Page is too long

I've added my modifications to the update script, hoping someone might find it useful. However it seems that we're unnecessarily extending the length of the page with repetetive minor edits to the script. What's a better way to organize the page? Maybe remove some of the script revisions? -Datagrok
