Your web ID is what uniquely identifies you and allows you to use and customize any of our services. This one account is shared across every system, and can be managed from https://panel.dreamhost.com/login/.

How do I create a Web ID?
===== USER EDIT ===== the following procedure has no relation to how DreamHost is set up. there is no "Sign up for a free ID" link anywhere on the suggested page.
It's easy!
- Simply go to: https://panel.dreamhost.com/id/ (click log out if you're already logged in!).
- Click on the Sign up for a free ID link.
- Fill out the following information:

Choose your username. It can be your name, a word or idea that has meaning to you, or something completely random. But once you choose it, this will be your username for life, so choose wisely!

Choose a password. Type it in twice.

Enter your date of birth. This is another way we can verify your identity if you lose your password.

Enter your email address. Official correspondence will be sent here.

Choose a "secret question" from the list provided. This is yet another way you can access your account, should you lose or forget your password.

Provide the answer for your secret question.

- The following information is optional, but will help us to serve you better:

Select a title from the drop-down menu. In the subsequent blanks, please enter your first, middle, last names. If your name has a suffix (Jr., III, Sr., Esq., etc.) you can choose the correct one from the drop-down menu on the right.

Please provide your address information.

Please provide your telephone and fax, if applicable. Choose your gender from the drop-down menu.
