DreamHost talk:List of guidelines

Proposed list of guidelines
Like it's sister page, this is an example of a page that really needs careful thought and consensus input. I'd like to propose a few items for the list, but I'd welcome input from all contributors. Here are a few obvious guidelines to get us started:
- Editing
- Use the correct markup syntax
- Write with a neutral point of view
- Do not refer to yourself in an article ("I installed it" is bad)
- Provide a "see also" section for related articles
- For removal, seek approval! If you think something needs to be removed, vote for it on an article's Talk page.
- Provide edit summaries
- Classification
- Don't uses slashes (/) in the names of articles to create subpages. The old KB articles do this, and it's awful.
- Categorize properly
- With partial or unfinished articles, add a {{stub}} or {{cleanup}} tag.
- Discussion
- Use "talk" pages to discuss matters of inclusion/exclusion etc. Never have discussions on article pages.
- Sign your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~) to be accountable and to help others understand the conversation.
- Do not use sock puppets to try and rig votes or mislead other contributors.
- Behavior
- Be nice, especially to n00bz
- Avoid profanity, muthafrakkers!
- Be accountable
Some of these will cross over into what makes up the list of policies. -- Scjessey 05:59, 17 Feb 2006 (PST)
