Add New User

By default Add New User adds a FTP/shell user plus a) a mail user of the same name and b) an address delivering to that mail users' mailbox.
Note: To add just a FTP/shell user, at Select Email Address, select (no email address or mailbox please).
Note: To add just a mail user (so to create a mailbox with name of your choice rather than system-chosen m#######) with address, use Add New User selecting an address, then use Delete to delete the FTP/shell user but not the mail user i.e. when prompted, do check Yes, remove <username> from <servername> but do not check Additionally remove all other instances of this user (shown above).
Note: When adding a FTP/shell user, no email option is given on the control panel's Add New User page. Add the new user; once you submit the addition, you will be asked for an email address that maps to this new user.
